Mitsui Fudosan and Partners Name Yaesu Redevelopment YAESU CORE

The facility under development at the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station as part of the Yaesu 2-Chome Central District Category 1 Urban Redevelopment Project has been named YAESU CORE. Mitsui Fudosan, Kajima Corp., Sumitomo Realty & Development, the Urban Renaissance Agency and Hankyu Hanshin Properties are taking part as participating association members, with completion scheduled for the end of January 2029.

YAESU CORE is a large mixed-use complex with 43 floors above ground and three below. Offices with typical floor plates of approximately 1,914 tsubo (approx. 68,100 sq. ft.) will occupy floors 11 through 38, about 50 retail tenants will fill the first basement level through the third floor, a theater will occupy floors three through six, and serviced apartments will sit on floors 40 through 43. An international school and a bus terminal will also be developed. The property is a three-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station and a two-minute walk from Kyobashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, with direct underground connections to both.

Honda Motor has announced it will relocate its headquarters to the offices during 2029, Chugai Pharmaceutical in the spring of that year, and North Sand and Copia in the fall. Honda Motor will acquire an ownership interest in part of the office floors.

The project is positioned as the culmination of the three-district redevelopment in front of Tokyo Station, following Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, which opened in 2023, and TOFROM YAESU, completed in 2026. Tokyo Tatemono will relocate its headquarters to TOFROM YAESU TOWER in September 2026, and Rivasta plans to do so in the fall of 2027. On the Yaesu side of Tokyo Station, corporate headquarters and office functions are concentrating as large-scale redevelopment advances.
