Toyota Tsusho to Relocate Tokyo Head Office to Yaesu 1-Chome North Redevelopment

Toyota Tsusho announced on October 29, 2026, that it will relocate its Tokyo head office to floors 19 through 27 of the South Block of the Yaesu 1-Chome North District Category 1 Urban Redevelopment Project. The move is scheduled for fiscal 2030, and the Nagoya head office, located where the company was founded, will continue to serve head office functions. On the same day, Toyota Fudosan, also a Toyota Group company, announced that it had decided to acquire approximately 3,933 tsubo (approx. 139,900 sq. ft.) of office floor space in the project. Toyota Fudosan leases some floors from master lessee Tokyo Tatemono and has signed a lease agreement with Toyota Tsusho.
Tokyo Tatemono, Tokyo Gas Real Estate and others are participating in the redevelopment project as participating association members, and it consists of a South Block and a North Block. The South Block will have 44 floors above ground and three below, with completion scheduled for fiscal 2029. It will have a typical floor plate of approximately 860 tsubo (approx. 30,600 sq. ft.), with offices on floors 10 through 43 and retail, lodging and other facilities on the lower floors. Ascott's SEN/KA TOKYO by The Crest Collection is scheduled to open on floors 6 through 9 in the second half of fiscal 2029. The North Block will be a two-story retail building scheduled for completion in fiscal 2032.
Major companies continue to relocate their headquarters to the Yaesu area. Tokyo Tatemono moved its headquarters to TOFROM YAESU TOWER in Yaesu 1-chome in September 2026, and Honda Motor and Chugai Pharmaceutical plan to move their headquarters functions to YAESU CORE (scheduled for completion in 2029) in the Yaesu 2-Chome Central District, while ANA Holdings and ANA also plan to relocate there around spring 2030.
Toyota Tsusho is the Toyota Group's general trading company and had 74,927 consolidated employees as of the end of March 2026. The company, which will mark the 80th anniversary of its founding in July 2028, positions the relocation as a new challenge to broaden its points of contact with a diverse range of partners inside and outside the company and to keep creating new businesses and solutions.
