ML Estate Acquires Beneficial Interest in Hotel in Yokohama’s Yamashita-cho
ML Estate acquired Hotel Livemax Yokohama Stadium-mae, a hotel in Yamashita-cho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, in March 2026. The seller was NAMIJU, a company engaged in real estate leasing and property management mainly in Osaka Prefecture.
The property was completed in January 2021 and has 116 guest rooms. It is located a five-minute walk from Ishikawacho Station on the JR Keihin-Tohoku and Negishi lines and a seven-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Minatomirai Line, near Yokohama Chinatown and Yokohama Stadium.
Tourism demand has been recovering in Yokohama. The number of tourists, which temporarily fell to about 16.29 million in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, reached approximately 37.73 million in 2024, setting a record high. In a lodging trends survey conducted by Yokohama City covering more than 40 major hotels in the city, the average occupancy rate for surveyed hotels also rose from the 78% range in 2023 to the 84% range in 2025. As tourism demand in the city improves, ML Estate is believed to have acquired the property as a recently built hotel in a location well positioned to capture tourism and event-related demand.
