Hayate Group Acquires Office Building in Shibuya

Hayate 103, part of Hayate Group, acquired JP Shibuya, an office building in Shibuya 2-chome, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, on June 30, 2026. The group operates the professional baseball team Hayate Ventures Shizuoka, which newly joined the league following the first structural reform of Japanese professional baseball in 66 years.

The property is a nine-minute walk from Shibuya Station and a ten-minute walk from Omotesando Station, on multiple lines. Completed in 1992, it is a five-story reinforced concrete building with a gross floor area of approximately 129 tsubo (approx. 4,600 sq. ft.). Although registered as multifamily housing, its use has been changed to office. All units were vacant at the time of acquisition, and the company plans to sell the property in its current condition.

The company entered the real estate business in March 2026 by acquiring a rental apartment building in Taito Ward, Tokyo, and this marks its second acquisition. According to the company, it also plans additional acquisitions in the Jonan area going forward, with a policy of acquiring approximately JPY 5 billion more by the end of the year (see related article: Hayate Group Acquires Rental Apartment Building in Taito Ward).
