Hankyu Hanshin Properties Breaks Ground on Cold Storage Logistics Facility at Former Naruohama Stadium Site
Hanshin Electric Railway and Hankyu Hanshin Properties began construction on October 1, 2026, of LOGiSTA Naruohama, a cold storage logistics facility on the site of the former Hanshin Naruohama Baseball Ground, the Hanshin Tigers' former farm-team facility, in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. It will be the first cold storage logistics facility in Hankyu Hanshin Properties' LOGiSTA series of logistics facilities. Completion is scheduled for the end of October 2028.
The planned site is located approximately 0.6 km from the "Naruohama IC" interchange on the Hanshin Expressway Route 5 Bayshore Line, roughly midway between the Port of Osaka and the Port of Kobe. The ramp-type building will have five floors above ground (four warehouse levels) and a gross floor area of approximately 13,500 tsubo (approx. 480,400 sq. ft.). The entire building will be a multi-tenant cold storage warehouse that can be divided into up to six units. All frozen sections can be set to temperatures ranging from -25°C to +5°C. A total of 36 truck berths will be provided. Design and construction will be handled by Asanuma Corporation.
Cold storage development has continued in Naruohama, with Odakyu Real Estate's Odakyu Real Estate Logistics Center Naruohama Cold Storage completed in March 2026 and Nippon GLP's fully refrigerated Marq Naruohama 2 scheduled for completion in April 2028.
Hankyu Hanshin Properties is continuing to develop its LOGiSTA series, with projects including LOGiSTA Osaka Yodogawa in Osaka City and LOGiSTA Matsudo in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, currently under development.
