Atre to Open Station Building at Nakano Station

Atre Co., Ltd. will open Atre Nakano at Nakano Station on December 9, 2026. The station building is being developed as part of the Nakano Station West North-South Passage and Elevated Station Building Project, promoted by four parties including Nakano City and East Japan Railway Company, and will be attached to the new elevated station building. The project also includes the development of a north-south passage, elevated station building, pedestrian deck, and station plaza, with the north-south passage and elevated station building scheduled to open for use on December 6 of the same year.
The facility is a five-story building with a gross floor area of approximately 5,080 tsubo (approx. 180,800 sq. ft.). Approximately 70 stores are planned to open, and a rooftop barbecue facility that allows guests to bring their own food will also be featured. The second floor is planned to connect directly to the newly built west ticket gate.
Urban redevelopment is progressing around Nakano Station, covering an area of approximately 110 hectares centered on the station. On the south side of the station, Nakano South Terrace, an office and residential complex over 100 meters tall developed by Sumitomo Realty & Development, was completed in February 2024. On the north side, Park City Nakano, a mixed-use district combining for-sale housing, offices, and retail developed by Mitsui Fudosan Residential and Mitsui Fudosan, was completed in April 2026 (see related article: Mitsui Fudosan Completes 807-Unit Large-Scale Mixed-Use District at North Exit of Nakano Station). A total of 10 projects, including this one, are underway around Nakano Station, further raising the area's profile.
