CHECK Holdings Acquires Large-Scale Industrial Site of Approximately 120,000 Tsubo in Iizuka

CHECK Holdings has acquired an industrial site of approximately 123,700 tsubo (approx. 4,401,639 sq. ft.)—about 40 hectares—in Iizuka, Fukuoka Prefecture. The company is envisioning the project as “Central Business Park IIZUKA” (tentative name) and will promote corporate attraction and regional revitalization.

The site is located at 656-1 Arii and 46 other land parcels in Iizuka City, adjacent to the Kindai University Faculty of Humanity-Oriented Science and Engineering. Iizuka sits between Fukuoka City and Kitakyushu City and offers strong access to major arterial roads, giving it a high level of competitiveness as both a logistics hub and a business base. The development is intended to accommodate manufacturing companies, logistics operators, and a range of industrial facilities, with a focus on attracting employers expected to generate substantial job creation. Subsidies offered by Iizuka City to promote corporate location are also expected to support incoming tenants.

The company is a community-based real estate group headquartered in Tagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture, with six group companies, and manages more than 4,000 residential units and other real estate assets across Iizuka, Tagawa, and Fukuoka City. In March 2025, it also acquired a business site of approximately 1,615 tsubo (approx. 57,467 sq. ft.) in front of Iizuka Station for approximately JPY 650 million, and is now positioned to advance what it calls a “circular community development” model that links industrial land development with housing development.

In Iizuka, existing industrial parks were developed 30 to 40 years ago and have been aging, while a shortage of land available for corporate relocation has become an issue. This project is positioned as a response to those local challenges.
