RUF Sells Shibuya Office Building Four Months After Buying It
RUF sold Aoyama TKO Building, an office property in Shibuya 1-chome, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, to Arpas Property of Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, on July 17, 2026. RUF had acquired the property on March 19 of the same year, giving it a holding period of about four months. The previous owner was Meika Ltd. of Yotsukaido, Chiba Prefecture, which had held the building since 2017.
The property sits along Aoyama-dori, a five-minute walk from Shibuya Station and a six-minute walk from Omotesando Station. Completed in 2011, it rises 11 stories with one basement level and has a typical floor plate of approximately 13 tsubo (approx. 500 sq. ft.). Aoyama WHISKY, a liquor store, occupies the first and second floors, while the upper floors are used as offices.
Founded in 2001, RUF is a real estate company engaged in the trading, operation and asset management of income-producing property in the Tokyo metropolitan area. It buys directly on its own account rather than working through brokers, and markets the ability to turn real estate into cash in as little as one week. It has handled more than 600 buildings since its founding.
