Yasuda Logistics Acquires All Shares of Toyama-Based Trucking Company, Making It a Group Company
Yasuda Logistics has acquired all shares of Toyama-ken Truck, a trucking company based in Toyama, Toyama Prefecture, making it a group company. Toyama-ken Truck is a transportation company with more than 50 years of operating history. It owns two warehouse facilities in Toyama Prefecture with a combined storage area of 2,780 tsubo (approx. 98,932 sq. ft.) and provides logistics services primarily in the Hokuriku region with a fleet of about 80 trucks.
Under its medium-term management plan, “YASDA GROUP CHALLENGE 2027,” the Yasuda Logistics Group is working to expand its warehouse and transportation network nationwide. By bringing Toyama-ken Truck into the group, Yasuda Logistics aims to expand its logistics network in the Hokuriku region, centered on collaboration with existing group company Onishi Unyu, which is based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Toyama Prefecture is an active pharmaceutical production region, and pharmaceuticals are also one of Yasuda Logistics’ priority business areas. Toyama-ken Truck owns constant-temperature warehouses capable of temperature and humidity control. By combining both companies’ pharmaceutical logistics expertise, Yasuda Logistics plans to strengthen proposals to pharmaceutical manufacturers in Toyama Prefecture.
