Fukuoka Jisho Begins Construction on LOGI’CITY SUE Logistics Facility Near Fukuoka Airport

Fukuoka Jisho Co., Ltd. broke ground on July 1 on “LOGI’CITY SUE,” a new multi-tenant logistics facility in Sue Town, Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture. This marks the fourth installment in the company's LOGI’CITY series and the first to feature a revamped design and logo developed in collaboration with renowned international architecture firm Snøhetta. Completion is scheduled for the end of September 2026, with nearly the entire gross floor area of approximately 5,995 tsubo (approx. 198,200 sq. ft.) allocated for leasable space.

The project’s standout feature is its strategic location. Positioned about 3 km from the Fukuoka IC on the Kyushu Expressway and 4 km from the Kasuya exit on the Fukuoka Urban Expressway, the site offers multimodal access: just 6 km to Fukuoka Airport and 15 km to Hakata Port. This makes it well-suited as a hub for last-mile and wide-area distribution throughout the Fukuoka metropolitan area and greater Kyushu region.

The warehouse will feature a standard box-type ambient specification with clear ceiling heights of 5.5 to 6.5 meters, a floor load capacity of 1.5 tons/sqm, and 11.5-meter column spacing. It will be divisible into two tenancies. Standard equipment includes two vertical conveyors and two freight elevators, with the capacity to add conveyor systems in the future. The facility will also be equipped with on-site solar power generation for self-consumption, backup generators, warehouse air conditioning, and insulated panels—enhancing both ESG performance and business continuity capabilities.

Building on operational insights from LOGI’CITY OGORI, completed in 2024, Fukuoka Jisho aims to meet the growing need for high-quality, near-field logistics infrastructure in the Fukuoka region—a market with significantly less supply than Tokyo—while expanding its asset portfolio.
