Daiichi Realtor Acquires Office Building in Ueno
Daiichi Realtor acquired Nakai Building East Wing, an office property in Ueno 5-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo, in March 2026. The seller was Kitcho Jutaku Kensetsu, a company headquartered in Chuo Ward, Osaka, that trades real estate and builds housing, which sold the building about eight months after acquiring it in July 2025.
The property is a three-minute walk from Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and a five-minute walk from Okachimachi Station on the JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines. Completed in 1968, the building has seven floors above ground, with a typical floor plate of approximately 18 tsubo (approx. 600 sq. ft.).
The building has changed hands three times since it was newly built. An individual held it for about 55 years before it passed to three co-owners through an inheritance in 2024, and then to Kitcho Jutaku Kensetsu in July 2025.
Daiichi Realtor develops condominiums and hotels, provides real estate investment consulting and sells properties to institutional investors. In Taito Ward, it acquired Hoyo Akihabara Building, completed in 1965, in April 2025, and Taito 3-chome Okachimachi Building, completed in 1960, in February 2026, extending a run of acquisitions of aging office buildings. The company has set a target of acquiring roughly 30 development sites a year for inbound-focused hotels and has 10 apartment hotels under development in Taito Ward alone.
