Toyo Jutaku Hanbai Acquires Shin-Nippon Namba Building in Osaka’s Namba Area
Toyo Jutaku Hanbai Co., Ltd. has acquired Shin-Nippon Namba Building, located in Naniwa Ward, Osaka. The seller was Sante Co., Ltd., which had owned the property for approximately four years since December 2021.
The property is a reinforced concrete building with one basement level and six above-ground floors, completed in December 1972. It has a Gross Floor Area of approximately 498 tsubo (approx. 17,800 sq. ft.) and is located about a five-minute walk from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line. Having reached 52 years since completion, the building has been operated as a mixed-use property comprising retail and office space.
Founded in 2004, Toyo Jutaku Hanbai Co., Ltd. is a real estate company headquartered in Chuo Ward, Osaka. The company is engaged in real estate acquisition, brokerage, and consulting services across the Kansai and Chubu–Tokai regions.
In the broader Namba area, a large-scale redevelopment project—the (tentative name) Namba Sennichimae District Redevelopment Project—is currently underway, led by Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd., Kanden Realty & Development Co., Ltd., and Osaka Metro Co., Ltd. The project is scheduled to open in 2031 and will feature a 28-story mixed-use building with office floors of approximately 380 tsubo (approx. 13,600 sq. ft.) per typical floor, as well as a hotel component. In addition, the opening of the Naniwasuji Line is planned for spring of the same year. Against the backdrop of these major infrastructure and redevelopment initiatives, which are expected to enhance real estate values in the Namba area, the acquisition reflects Toyo Jutaku Hanbai’ strategic positioning in anticipation of future upside.
