Es-Con To Open Hotel and Office Mixed-Use Building in Nishi-Azabu in Spring 2027

Es-Con announced on October 1, 2026, that EAT PLAY WORK - Nishiazabu (tentative name), a mixed-use building it is developing in Nishi-Azabu 3-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo, will open in spring 2027.
The site is an eight-minute walk from Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and an 11-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the same line and the Toei Oedo Line. Es-Con acquired the land in April 2020; it is where the Italian restaurant CHIANTI, founded in 1960, operated for many years.
The building will have seven floors above ground and two below. CHIANTI will reopen on the first basement floor. Floors one through seven will house EAT PLAY WORK, operated by Salt Group, which will combine a hotel, offices, studios, event spaces and more. The third and fourth floors will feature set-up offices (20 units in total) and a wellness and retreat space, while the fifth through seventh floors will have guest room floors (nine rooms in total) and a rooftop pool. Salt Group launched EAT PLAY WORK in Hiroo in 2020, centering on restaurants and work lounges.
In addition to for-sale condominiums, Es-Con develops commercial facilities, hotels, offices and rental housing, and emphasizes developments that draw on the unique history and context of each site. In June, it opened Randor Hotel Sapporo Heritage on the former site of King Mu in Susukino, Sapporo (see related article: Es-Con To Open Hotel in Sapporo’s Susukino Area).
