Tokyu Corporation Acquires Rental Apartment in Tokyo's Kamata Area

Tokyu Corporation acquired HYGGE KANDA HEIM, a rental apartment building in Kamata 1-chome, Ota Ward, Tokyo, in April 2026. The seller was a private individual.

The building has five above-ground floors, was completed in 2016, and has a total of 22 units, comprising 1R, 1K, and 1LDK unit types, with a café occupying the first floor. It is located a seven-minute walk from Kamata Station on the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line.

The average asking rent for rental apartments within a ten-minute walk of Kamata Station has risen approximately 29% over the past four years, reaching approximately JPY 16,530 per tsubo as of the end of June 2026 (research by the editorial team based on estie Residential Research). In 2026, new rental apartment supply, including Belleface Kamata West and Stylio Kamata West, has also contributed to the notable rise in average asking rent per tsubo.

For the Tokyu Group, Kamata is one of its rail network hubs, served by the Ikegami Line and the Tokyu Tamagawa Line. Around Kamata Station, plans are also progressing for the new Haneda Airport Line connecting the Tokyu Tamagawa Line with the area near Keikyu Kamata Station.
