GLP Japan Breaks Ground on Large-Scale Logistics Facility “GLP Fukuoka IC I” in Kasuya District

GLP Japan has commenced construction on “GLP Fukuoka IC I,” a large-scale logistics facility located in Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture. The property represents the first phase of the “GLP Fukuoka IC Project,” which is being developed within the Okuma Nishi Land Readjustment Project area in Kasuya Town. The overall plan envisions up to three buildings on the same site, with a total gross floor area exceeding 150,000 square meters, marking one of the largest logistics developments in the region.

Situated approximately 800 meters from the Fukuoka Interchange, the property will rise four stories above ground with a gross floor area of about 29,000 tsubo (approx. 95,900 sq. m). It is being developed as a build-to-suit facility for an existing repeat customer and is scheduled for completion in July 2027. The building will feature a seismic isolation structure to enhance business continuity during disasters and is designed to achieve both CASBEE and ZEB environmental certifications.
