JR Kyushu Breaks Ground on “LOGI STATION Tosu I” Logistics Facility in Saga Prefecture

Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) has broken ground on a for-lease logistics facility, “LOGI STATION Tosu I,” in Sonezaki-machi, Tosu City, Saga Prefecture. Completion is slated for January 2027.

The planned building is a two-story steel structure with a Gross Floor Area of about 4,900 tsubo (approx. 174,358 sq. ft.). Truck docks are planned on both sides, enabling simultaneous berthing for 30 large vehicles. The facility will also be equipped with dock levelers, four vertical conveyors, and two freight elevators to support efficient intake/dispatch and storage operations.

The site lies approximately 2 km from the Tosu Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway and about 1.5 km from the Ogori-Tosu-Minami Smart Interchange. It fronts National Route 3 and is also near the Tosu Junction. As a key node in the expressway network connecting Kyushu with other regions, the area has seen ongoing development of warehouses and logistics facilities. Supported by e-commerce growth and business continuity planning (BCP) requirements, demand is expected to remain strong for for-lease distribution centers suited to wide-area delivery.
