Mitsui Fudosan to Acquire TAC and Two Regional Shopping Centers from Toyota

On August 29, 2025, Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. will acquire all shares of Toyota Automall Development Corporation (TAC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. Concurrently, Mitsui Fudosan and Toyota Fudosan Co., Ltd. will jointly acquire two regional shopping centers currently owned and operated by TAC—Colorful Town Gifu (Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture) and Tressa Yokohama (Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City).　TOYOTA AUTOMALL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Both properties have long served as community-oriented retail hubs under TAC’s management. Tressa Yokohama centers around a Toyota showroom, while Colorful Town Gifu also includes a Toyota Corolla Gifu dealership on-site. Each is classified as a regional shopping center (RSC) with strong customer pull from a wide catchment area.

Mitsui Fudosan operates several large-scale malls in both target regions—such as Mitsui Shopping Park Lazona Kawasaki Plaza and LaLaport Yokohama in the Greater Tokyo area, and LaLaport Nagoya Minato AQULS and Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima in the Chukyo region. The company aims to enhance customer traffic and asset value by leveraging operational synergies with its existing portfolio and incorporating TAC’s mobility-related expertise. Toyota Fudosan, for its part, is expected to benefit from Mitsui Fudosan’s retail operations know-how to maximize the long-term value of the properties.
