Toyojutaku-Hanbai Acquires “Shin Nihon Namba Building” in Osaka’s Naniwa Ward

Toyojutaku-Hanbai has acquired the “Shin Nihon Namba Building” located in Osaka City’s Naniwa Ward. The seller was Sante Co., Ltd., which had held the asset for approximately four years since December 2021.

The property is a reinforced concrete building completed in December 1972, featuring one basement level and six floors above ground, with a Gross Floor Area of approx. 498 tsubo (approx. 1,646 sq. ft.). It is a five-minute walk from Osaka Metro Midosuji Line’s “Namba” Station. Over its 52-year history, it has been used as a mixed-use building with both retail and office components.

Toyojutaku-Hanbai, established in 2004 and headquartered in Osaka’s Chuo Ward, engages in real estate sales, brokerage, and consulting across the Kansai and Tokai regions.

In the Namba area, the large-scale “(Tentative Name) Namba Sennichimae Redevelopment Project,” led by Nankai Electric Railway, Kanden Realty & Development, and Osaka Metro, is currently underway and slated to open in 2031. The plan calls for a 28-story mixed-use tower with office floors of approx. 380 tsubo per floor, along with a hotel component. The opening of the Naniwasuji Line is also scheduled for spring 2031. Against this backdrop of significant redevelopment driving value appreciation in Namba, the acquisition comes at a time of rising expectations for the area’s real estate market.
