Nomura Real Estate to Open First H¹O Serviced Office in Fukuoka at Hakata Station

Nomura Real Estate will complete H¹O Hakata Ekimae, the company’s first H¹O serviced office in the Fukuoka market, on December 26, 2025, with opening scheduled for February 2026.

The property is located in Hakataekimae 2-chome, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, just a three-minute walk from JR Kyushu and Fukuoka City Subway Hakata Station. The seven-story building will offer windowed private suites for 3–10 people, and partitions can be removed to accommodate more than 30 users.

Launched in Tokyo and Osaka in 2019, the H¹O brand targets startups, venture firms, and satellite offices of large corporations. Fukuoka City declared itself a “Startup City Fukuoka” in 2012 and has been designated as a National Strategic Special Zone for global startups and job creation. At Fukuoka Growth Next, a public-private support hub, 85 tenant companies have raised a cumulative JPY 36.5 billion, creating 1,262 new jobs, underscoring the city’s strong startup ecosystem. Nomura Real Estate aims to capture this growing demand.

The Fukuoka office market remains robust. Despite more than approx. 70,000 tsubo (approx. 2.3 million sq. ft.) of new supply expected between 2024 and 2026 from redevelopment initiatives such as Tenjin Big Bang and Hakata Connected, demand remains resilient thanks to sustained population inflows and active corporate expansion. Competition in the serviced office sector is also intensifying: WeWork plans to open WeWork Tenjin BRICK CROSS in August 2025, and Regus continues to expand its network in the city.

Nomura Real Estate is also planning a second H¹O location in the market—H¹O Nakasu-Kawabata, scheduled for completion in December 2026 and opening in spring 2027. It will be located in Nakasu 4-chome, Hakata Ward, with direct access just one minute on foot from Nakasu-Kawabata Station.
