Mitsubishi Estate Residence Acquires 35% Stake in Export Textile Kaikan Building in Osaka’s Honmachi
Mitsubishi Estate Residence Co., Ltd. has acquired a 35% ownership interest in the Export Textile Kaikan Building, located in Chuo Ward, Osaka, from Yasuda Real Estate Co., Ltd. Yasuda Real Estate had previously acquired the property in March 2025 from Yushutsu Seni Kaikan Co., Ltd. Following the transaction, Yasuda Real Estate holds a 65% stake, while Mitsubishi Jisho Residence owns the remaining 35%.
The property is located a three-minute walk from Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and a six-minute walk from Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station on the Sakaisuji Line. Completed in 1960, the building is an SRC (steel-reinforced concrete) structure with eight floors above ground and three basement levels, and has a Gross Floor Area of approximately 4,585 tsubo (approx. 163,150 sq. ft.). Designed by renowned architect Togo Murano, the building is highly regarded for its architectural value and has been selected as part of the Living Architecture Museum Osaka Selection.
Mitsubishi Estate Residence and Yasuda Real Estate have previously collaborated with JR West Properties Development Company, Ltd. on the joint development of The Parkhouse Osaka Umeda Tower (scheduled for completion in 2025) in Kita Ward, Osaka.
