NBI Holdings To Acquire Hotel in Naha, Rebrand and Reopen Property
NBI Holdings will acquire Novotel Okinawa Naha, a hotel in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, on July 31, 2026, through NBI Naha Development LLC, a fund established for value-add investment and asset management. After the acquisition, the company will change the hotel operator to Core Global Management and rebrand the property on the same date as Infinisis Naha Shurijo by Hewitt Resort. By pursuing strategic value-add investment, including renovation work, the company aims to strengthen the property’s competitiveness and enhance its medium- to long-term asset value.
The facility has 16 floors above ground and 328 guest rooms. It is located about a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport and about a 15-minute walk from Shuri Castle, positioning it to capture demand from inbound travelers and tourists from outside Okinawa Prefecture. Novotel Okinawa Naha was originally Okinawa Miyako Hotel, which opened in 1974. After a full renovation, it opened in 2018 as the first property in Japan under Novotel, an upscale brand of AccorHotels.
NBI Holdings began investing in hotels, ryokan inns and other lodging properties in April 2025, and has been involved in businesses including the revitalization of regional ryokan inns. The company plans to expand its investment volume to more than JPY 50 billion by the fiscal year ending March 2027, and this transaction will be its first resort and city hotel investment. Going forward, the company plans to step up investment in large-scale hotels and expand its investment scope.
