Polaris Holdings Launches New Hotel Brand “yugen” with First Property Opening in Kyoto

Fino Hotels, a subsidiary of Polaris Holdings, has launched a new hotel brand, “yugen,” and opened its first property, “yugen kyoto shijo,” on September 29, 2025. The property is positioned as a Japanese-modern luxury hotel.
Located in the Shijo-Kawaramachi area of Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, the hotel is a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Kyoto Line’s “Kyoto-Kawaramachi” Station and a 9-minute walk from Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line’s “Shijo” Station. The hotel features 58 guest rooms, a large public bath with a dry sauna equipped with an auto löyly system and a cold bath, as well as a 24-hour fitness gym.
Following its merger with Minacia Inc. in December 2024, Polaris Holdings now operates a portfolio of 107 hotels with a total of 15,681 rooms across Japan and overseas, as of September 29, 2025, including upcoming openings.
