Nishi - Nippon Railroad Joins Office Development Project in Mumbai, Its First Overseas Office Venture

Nishi-Nippon Railroad announced on October 6, 2025, that it will participate in the “Runwal BKC Project,” a rental office development in Mumbai, India, jointly with Runwal Enterprises Limited, one of India’s major developers, and Genkai Capital Secured Investment Pte. Ltd., a member of the Genkai Capital Group. This marks Nishitetsu’s first overseas office development project.
The project site is located along LBS Marg in Kurla, Mumbai, approximately a 10-minute walk from the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the city’s central business district, and within 1 kilometer of Kurla Station. The area is undergoing extensive infrastructure improvements and large-scale redevelopment. The property will consist of four basement levels and 12 above-ground floors, with a gross floor area of approximately 8,700 tsubo (approx. 287,500 sq. ft.). Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2025 and be completed in June 2029.
