DAIWA HOUSE INDUSTRY CO., LTD. Breaks Ground on Multi-Tenant Logistics Facility in Fukaya, Saitama

DAIWA HOUSE INDUSTRY CO., LTD. broke ground on March 17, 2026, on the multi-tenant logistics facility “DPL Saitama Fukaya” in Fukaya, Saitama Prefecture. Completion is scheduled for March 31, 2027, with occupancy targeted to begin on April 1 of the same year. The project marks the company’s 60th logistics facility development in Saitama Prefecture on a cumulative basis.

The development site is the former Toshiba Fukaya Plant site, which had operated in 1965 as Japan’s first dedicated color television factory. It is located within “DPI Saitama Fukaya,” an industrial park being developed by the company with an area of approximately 135,000 square meters (approx. 1,453,128 sq. ft.). The building will be a single-story steel-frame structure with leasable area of approximately 3,538 tsubo (approx. 125,369 sq. ft.). It will offer specifications including floor load capacity of 1.5 tons per square meter and clear height under beams of 7 meters, and can accommodate up to two tenants.

The property is located about 10 kilometers from the Hanazono IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, or approximately 22 minutes by car, and about 4 kilometers from National Route 17 (Fukaya Bypass), enabling it to serve as a wide-area distribution hub. On the environmental front, the facility is planned to install approximately 1,500 kW of solar power generation on the roof and is targeting BELS five-star certification as well as achievement of standards equivalent to ZEB Ready or higher.
