Nagase Relocates Tokyo Headquarters to New Nihonbashi Building, Consolidating 16 Group Companies

Nagase & Co., Ltd. began operations on October 5, 2026, at the new Tokyo headquarters building it had been rebuilding in Nihonbashi-Kobunacho, Chuo Ward, Tokyo. The company has consolidated its group bases, and approximately 1,500 employees from 16 group companies will work in the same building.

The new headquarters is located a five-minute walk from "Shin-Nihombashi" Station on the JR Sobu Rapid Line and a six-minute walk from "Mitsukoshimae" Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Hanzomon Line. It has 14 floors above ground and two below, with a gross floor area of approximately 7,967 tsubo (approx. 283,500 sq. ft.), and construction was completed in September 2026. The former headquarters building was completed in 1969, and the company announced the rebuilding in June 2021 to address the building's age and enable new ways of working. From August 2022, it had temporarily relocated its Tokyo headquarters to TOKYO TORCH Tokiwabashi Tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda Ward.

Nagase is a specialty chemicals trading company founded in 1832, with 7,756 consolidated employees and 942 non-consolidated employees as of the end of March 2026. The new headquarters includes a community exchange space, an exhibition corner introducing the area's history and culture, and public open space, aimed at contributing to the local community.
