Toyota Housing Acquires Apartment Building in Miyasaka, Setagaya Ward
Toyota Housing acquired an apartment building in Miyasaka 1-chome, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, in March 2026. The seller was Development Bank of Japan, which appears to have used the property as company housing.
The property is a six-minute walk from Miyanosaka Station on the Tokyu Setagaya Line and a nine-minute walk from Kyodo Station on the Odakyu Odawara Line. Completed in 1970, the three-story building has a gross floor area of approximately 328 tsubo (approx. 11,700 sq. ft.). It was built by the Hokkaido-Tohoku Development Finance Public Corporation; Development Bank of Japan succeeded to the corporation's assets in 1999, and the property then passed to Development Bank of Japan Inc. when the bank was converted into a stock company in 2008. Government-affiliated financial institutions have thus owned the property for about 56 years since it was built.
Toyota Housing is a Toyota Group homebuilder that develops and sells detached houses and condominiums. It is also acquiring company housing that companies no longer use and rebuilding it as rental housing, and has previously purchased company housing in Nerima Ward, Tokyo, and rebuilt it as rental housing.
