UCB Japan plans to relocate its headquarters to the 20th floor of Meiji Yasuda Shinjuku Building in Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, in June 2027. Its current headquarters is on the 13th floor of Sumitomo Fudosan Shinjuku Grand Tower (Nishi-Shinjuku 8-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).

The new location, Meiji Yasuda Shinjuku Building, was developed by Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance and completed in August 2026. Directly connected to Shinjuku Station, the building has 23 floors above ground and four below, with office floors of approximately 820 tsubo (approx. 29,200 sq. ft.) each. CAMCOM Group plans to relocate its headquarters to the building in January 2027 and HENNGE its Tokyo headquarters in April 2027, and Nikkiso, which makes products including those related to hemodialysis, will also move its headquarters there in November 2027 (see related article: Nikkiso To Relocate Headquarters to Meiji Yasuda Shinjuku Building).

UCB Japan was established in 1988 as the Japanese subsidiary of UCB, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, and had 650 employees as of the end of December 2025. The company decided to relocate its headquarters to further strengthen its business foundation and achieve sustainable growth by promoting quick and flexible decision-making and cross-departmental collaboration to accelerate innovation.
