Kintetsu Real Estate and UR Break Ground on Retail-and-Rental-Housing Complex in Front of Nakano Station

Kintetsu Real Estate and UR Break Ground on Retail-and-Rental-Housing Complex in Front of Nakano Station

Kintetsu Real Estate and the Urban Renaissance Agency (UR) began construction in July 2026 of the mixed-use facility (tentative) Nakano 3-chome Hub Facility in Nakano 3-chome, Nakano Ward, Tokyo. Completion is scheduled for the summer of 2029.

The 14-story facility will house retail on the first through third floors and 165 family-oriented rental housing units on the fourth through 14th floors, along with open space that can be used for community exchange and disaster-prevention events.

In the Nakano 3-chome district, the Nakano 3-chome Land Readjustment Project implemented by UR will develop the Nakano Station Toen Plaza and roads on the south side of the north-south passage on the west side of Nakano Station, reorganizing the block. Nakano Ward aims to connect the station-front plaza with residential areas and to form a townscape that harmonizes cultural vibrancy with daily life, and several redevelopment projects are currently underway simultaneously around Nakano Station. As part of this, the opening of the west-side north-south passage and elevated station building, as well as the opening of the Atre Nakano station building, have been announced for December 2026 (see related article: Atre to Open Station Building at Nakano Station).
