Es-con Breaks Ground on Rental Residence for Students and Workers in Kitahiroshima

Escon Sports & Entertainment (ESE) broke ground in April 2026 on “(tentative name) Dormy F Village,” a rental residence within Hokkaido Ballpark F Village in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido. The project will be a 10-story reinforced concrete building with 242 units and is scheduled to open in spring 2028. Operations and property management will be handled by Kyoritsu Maintenance, which operates more than 500 student and company housing properties nationwide.
The development site is located at F Village 14-4 and will have a gross floor area of approximately 2,185 tsubo (approx. 72,231 sq. ft.). The property will offer breakfast and dinner service, as well as a large public bath, sauna and lounge space. Designed to serve as both student housing and company housing, the facility aims to provide residents with a secure living environment. Architectural design is being handled by KIKAKU SEKKEI OFFICE ORT, construction by Urban Yamaichi, and overall supervision by Kyoritsu Estate.
Behind the development is the planned opening in April 2028 of Hokkaido Medical University’s new campus. The university plans to relocate from Tobetsu to a new campus with a gross floor area of approximately 65,000 sq m (approx. 699,654 sq. ft.) and a development cost of about JPY 42 billion. University-related traffic, including students, is expected to flow regularly to and from F Village. The residence is intended to capture housing demand associated with that relocation.
