Kasumigaseki Capital Sells Kobe Hotel Rebranding Project Site; Subsidiary to Oversee Renovation and Rebrand
Kasumigaseki Capital announced on August 12, 2025, that its consolidated subsidiary, fav hospitality group Co., Ltd. (FHG), has sold the site for the “Kobe Hotel Rebranding Project,” which it had been spearheading. The buyer and the sale price have not been disclosed.
The project is located in a prime spot in the city center, with a site area of 618.61㎡ (approx. 6,660 sq. ft.) and a gross floor area of 3,543.19㎡ (approx. 38,137 sq. ft.). Following the sale, FHG will be responsible for renovation and rebranding.
Kasumigaseki Capital has been promoting an asset-turnover model in which it sources and plans development sites in-house, sells them to third parties to realize capital gains, and continues to be involved through property management (PM) and asset management (AM). On August 5, 2025, the company also announced the sale of two hotel development sites—one in Kaminarimon 2-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo, and another in Imaichi-cho, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture—to Toray Construction Co., Ltd., moving both projects into the development phase.
