Chuo-Nittochi Co., Ltd., RXR Break Ground on 101-Unit Multifamily Project in Nassau County’s Garvies Point

Chuo-Nittochi Co., Ltd. has announced the groundbreaking of The Arden, a rental multifamily development in Garvies Point, Glen Cove, Nassau County, New York, in partnership with U.S. developer RXR Realty. Completion is scheduled for July 2027. This marks the group’s first direct joint venture with a local U.S. developer.

The five-story project will feature timber construction on the upper floors and approximately 660 sqm (approx. 7,104 sq. ft.) of shared amenities, including a fitness center, theater room, telework lounge, golf simulator, and sauna. The property will also incorporate the “RXO Home” resident app, enabling digital booking of shared facilities, package management, and maintenance requests. Target residents include seniors downsizing from single-family homes and middle- to upper-income commuters to New York City.

Nassau County has a limited supply of rental housing, with demand expected to grow. As part of a larger waterfront redevelopment that will deliver parks, promenades, and retail in phases, the project aims to expand the company’s U.S. portfolio while gaining further expertise in real estate development.
