GION Opens Food Logistics Hub in Fukuyama, Hiroshima
Comprehensive logistics company GION Co., Ltd. on April 2, 2026, opened Sanyo Center, a food logistics hub in Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture. As a logistics partner for a major supermarket operator, the facility handles chilled and dry goods and supports food logistics requiring strict temperature and quality control. The opening is intended to strengthen the company’s food logistics network in western Japan.
The hub comprises a 300-tsubo ambient warehouse (approx. 10,671 sq. ft.) and a 250-tsubo refrigerated warehouse (approx. 8,893 sq. ft.), for a combined total of about 550 tsubo (approx. 19,564 sq. ft.). It is located in Minamimatsunaga-cho, Fukuyama, roughly midway between Hiroshima and Okayama.
GION Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive logistics company headquartered in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. The company has strengths in food logistics and has established management systems by temperature zone, including chilled, frozen, dry and fresh products. With the opening of Sanyo Center, the company will expand its food supply chain network in western Japan.
