Open House Group to Launch First In-House Luxury Hotel in Hakone in November 2025

In November 2025, Open House Group Co., Ltd. will open a small luxury hotel, KÚON Hakone Gora, in Gora, Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. The hotel will be operated by Open House Hotels & Resorts and will mark the group’s first directly managed hotel.

The property has a gross floor area of 906.33 sqm (approx. 9,755 sq. ft.) and features 14 guest rooms. It is a renovated conversion of an existing hotel. Centered on the theme of “a place where you can grow just a little more than yesterday,” the hotel offers an immersive stay experience focused on the pairing of modern Japanese sweets—supervised by wagashi artist Shiho Sakamoto—and carefully selected teas from across Japan. The hotel will operate on an all-inclusive model with no additional charges for access to its guest-only tea lounge, dining area, and bar.

Open House Group, which primarily engages in single-family homes, condominiums, income-producing real estate, and U.S. real estate, recorded a record-high consolidated revenue of JPY 1.2958 trillion in the fiscal year ending September 2024. By adding hotel operations as a new revenue stream, the company aims to further stabilize its business portfolio.
