Regina Resort Yufuin to Open as First Kyushu Property in Tokyo Tatemono’s Pet-Friendly Luxury Resort Series

Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. will open Regina Resort Yufuin in Yufu City, Oita Prefecture, in the fall of 2025, marking the 10th property in its Regina Resort luxury pet-friendly resort series and its first entry into Kyushu. All 15 guest rooms will feature private natural hot spring baths with free-flowing spring water, appealing to high-end travelers seeking unique, pet-friendly stays.

The resort will consist of seven standalone Villa Suites (approx. 72–82㎡ / approx. 775–883 sq. ft.) and eight Terrace Suites in a maisonette style (approx. 69㎡ / approx. 743 sq. ft.). Each suite offers open-air baths with scenic views of Mt. Yufu and private dog runs, while guests can dine with their pets at the resort’s creative Japanese restaurant, which features locally sourced Kyushu ingredients. Access is convenient, with the property located about 10 minutes by car from Yufuin IC and Yufudake Smart IC, and about five minutes from JR Yufuin Station.

The project is part of Tokyo Tatemono Group’s medium-term management plan to expand its service business by tapping into the growing pet tourism market in western Japan and capturing experience-based consumption trends. The company will leverage its Regina Dog Club, which has over 90,000 member households, to drive early occupancy and repeat business through benefits such as a 10% accommodation discount, aiming to capture demand for high-value lodging in Yufuin.
