Cielia Tower Nakanoshima Completed as First Phase of Nakanoshima Area Redevelopment

Cielia Tower Nakanoshima, developed by Kanden Realty & Development Co., Ltd., was completed on February 18, 2026. Located in Fukushima Ward, Osaka, the large-scale condominium tower rises 46 stories above ground, stands 168 meters tall, and comprises 364 residential units. Unit handover is scheduled for March 1, 2026. The project utilizes a fixed-term leasehold (superficies) with an approximately 70-year lease period.

The property is constructed of reinforced concrete (partially steel-framed) and has a Gross Floor Area of approximately 14,135 tsubo (approx. 467,272 sq. ft.). It is a four-minute walk from Shin-Fukushima Station on the JR Tozai Line. Obayashi Corporation served as the general contractor, employing its proprietary high-rise vibration control system, the Dual Frame System (D.F.S.). The building meets the ZEH-M Oriented standard and achieves net-zero CO2 emissions for the entire condominium through bulk high-voltage power reception supplying effectively carbon-free electricity derived from renewable energy sources.

The completion of this project marks the first wave of accelerating high-rise development in the Nakanoshima area. A twin-tower project by Kanden Realty & Development, NTT Urban Development and Sumitomo Corporation is currently underway, consisting of two buildings — 57 stories (205 meters tall) and 52 stories (approximately 197 meters tall) — totaling approximately 1,100 units, with completion scheduled for fiscal 2031. Anticipating the opening of a new Naniwasuji Line station in fiscal 2031, a large-scale redevelopment spanning approximately 9.6 hectares is progressing in the Nakanoshima 5-chome district.

Kanden Realty & Development is also participating in the Yodoyabashi Gate Tower project (29 stories, Gross Floor Area of approximately 40,000 tsubo [approx. 1,322,000 sq. ft.]) in the adjacent Yodoyabashi area, further strengthening its presence across the Nakanoshima and Yodoyabashi districts.
