Mitsubishi Estate to Join First Residential Development in Southern Taiwan with Jundu Group

Mitsubishi Estate announced on August 22, 2025, that it will participate in the “Jundu Dacheng” residential development project in Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan, promoted by local housing developer Jundu Group. This marks the company’s first project in southern Taiwan. The total development cost is approximately NTD 30 billion (JPY 15 billion, based on NTD = JPY 5). Construction is scheduled to begin in late August 2025 with completion expected in 2029.

The project site is located in Lingya District, central Kaohsiung, about a 10-minute drive from Kaohsiung Station and within a 10-minute walk to a planned new MRT station, offering excellent accessibility. The development will comprise a 23-story residential tower with five basement levels, totaling 215 units and several retail spaces. The product concept targets the upper-income segment.

To date, Mitsubishi Estate has focused its Taiwan operations mainly in the north, particularly Taipei, where it has completed four condominium projects. The company aims to expand into southern Taiwan, centering on Kaohsiung, to further strengthen its presence.
