Obayashi Completes Urban Logistics Facility “OAK LOGISTICS CENTER Nagoya”

On May 31, 2025, Obayashi Corporation announced the completion of “OAK LOGISTICS CENTER Nagoya,” an urban logistics facility located in Mizuho Ward, Nagoya City.

Situated approximately 4 km from central Nagoya and about 1 km from the Takatsuji exit of the Nagoya Expressway, the property offers strategic access for both regional distribution across the Kanto and Kansai areas and last-mile delivery within the city. The four-story, steel-structure building has a gross floor area of approximately 7,085 tsubo (approx. 234,200 sq. ft.) and is divisible into two leaseable sections. Key specifications include a floor load capacity of 1.5 t/㎡ and a clear height of 5.5 meters under beams, with 14 truck berths arranged on a raised-floor first level.

The rooftop is equipped with a solar power system generating approximately 800 kW (DC), expected to supply roughly 80% of the facility’s electricity needs via renewable energy and reduce CO₂ emissions by an estimated 86 tons annually. The property has received both CASBEE “A” rating and ZEB certification, underlining its sustainability credentials.

As part of Obayashi’s “OAK LOGISTICS CENTER” series, the Nagoya facility serves as a flagship for urban logistics, aiming to meet growing demand for supply chain optimization by balancing environmental performance with operational efficiency. The company plans to continue expanding its logistics platform to support decarbonization and tenant productivity.
