Mitsubishi Estate Residence Breaks Ground on First “The Parkhouse” Condo in Kumamoto

Mitsubishi Estate Residence announced on August 18, 2025, the groundbreaking of a new condominium project in Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City, tentatively named “Kumamoto City Chuo-ku Minamitsuboi-machi 6 Project.” This will mark the company’s first deployment of its “The Parkhouse” brand in Kumamoto Prefecture.

The property is a three-minute walk from Fujisakigu-mae Station on the Kumamoto Electric Railway Fujisaki Line and an eight-minute walk from the Kumamoto City Tram “Toricho Suji” stop. The development will rise 18 stories above ground with one basement level, comprising 46 condominium units and two ground-floor retail spaces. Scheduled for completion in December 2028, the project will feature a long-established local Japanese confectionery store, Sonodaya, as one of the retail tenants.

The project has received special height approval under Kumamoto City’s “Machinaka Regeneration Project.” With a podium setback design and the creation of public open space, it aims to enhance pedestrian areas and provide venues for community events.
