Daiwa House Industry Brings DPL Chiba Yotsukaido II Logistics Facility Into Full Operation

Daiwa House Industry announced on September 1, 2026, that DPL Chiba Yotsukaido II, a large multi-tenant logistics facility it developed in Yotsukaido, Chiba Prefecture, has entered full operation. Nike Japan began operations in part of the facility in August of the same year and plans to use it as its largest logistics hub in Japan. The project owner is Yotsukaido 2 TMK, a special purpose company wholly owned by Daiwa House Industry.

The facility sits within roughly 8 kilometers of three interchanges, including the Yotsukaido Interchange on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway, giving it utility as a consolidation hub serving central Tokyo and the wider Kanto region as well as strong access to Narita International Airport. The five-story building has a gross floor area of approximately 92,410 tsubo (approx. 3,288,200 sq. ft.), with four ramps at the four corners and double-sided berths on every floor. Leasable area per floor is approximately 14,500 tsubo (approx. 516,000 sq. ft.), and tenants can lease from approximately 3,200 tsubo (approx. 113,900 sq. ft.).

The common areas include sports facilities, a first for a Daiwa House Industry logistics development. A running track of approximately 1.5 kilometers circles the site and an indoor basketball court has been installed, with employee health in mind. Local residents may also use the facilities.

As of the end of March 2026, Daiwa House Industry had developed logistics facilities at 365 locations nationwide, including those under construction, with a combined gross floor area of approximately 4.58 million tsubo (approx. 163 million sq. ft.). It is advancing further large-scale projects in the Kanto region, including DPL Tokyo Shinonome in Koto Ward, which has a gross floor area of approximately 46,000 tsubo (approx. 1,636,800 sq. ft.) and was completed in April 2026, and DPL Samukawa I in Samukawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, which has a gross floor area of approximately 27,000 tsubo (approx. 960,700 sq. ft.) and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
