Databricks Japan To Relocate Tokyo Office to Shin-Marunouchi Building
Databricks Japan will relocate its Tokyo office to Shin-Marunouchi Building. The move is driven by the expansion of its Japan business amid rising demand for enterprise AI, with the relocation scheduled for July 2026.
The company is the Japan unit of San Francisco-based Databricks, which provides an integrated data and AI platform. In Japan, adoption has advanced among companies including Aeon and Tokyo Gas, and the Japan business achieved growth of more than 100% year over year in the first quarter from February to April 2026.
The company’s current office is located within WeWork’s flexible office space on the 14th floor of Tokyo Square Garden. Through the relocation, the company will occupy a dedicated space of approximately 420 tsubo (approx. 14,900 sq. ft.) in Shin-Marunouchi Building, a one-minute walk from Tokyo Station, supporting more than 200 employees. The new office will also include dedicated facilities for AI training and an executive experience center.
In August 2025, GenerativeX, which develops AI agents and provides generative AI consulting, relocated to Marunouchi Building.(see related article:GenerativeX Moves Headquarters to Marunouchi Building) In the Marunouchi and Otemachi area, tech companies continue to establish offices against the backdrop of growing demand for generative AI applications.
