Nomura Real Estate Breaks Ground on “BEAT PARK” Live Music Venue in Shin-Osaka

Nomura Real Estate and its affiliate Nomura Real Estate Commerce have announced their first entry into the live music venue business with the ground-breaking of a new live entertainment facility in Shin-Osaka, walking distance from Shin-Osaka Station. The project, (tentative) BEAT PARK, is being co-developed and co-owned with Lotte Holdings and is targeted to open in March 2028.
The facility will be built as a four-story reinforced concrete building (with some steel framing) on a site of approximately 523 tsubo. It is being designed to cater to larger audiences, with a capacity of about 1,590 people in a standing configuration, and will feature permanent LED vision screens and high-specification audiovisual equipment. The venue will also offer a welcoming foyer with original food and beverage offerings to enhance the live experience.
Nomura Real Estate Group is expanding its presence in the entertainment and experiential real estate space. This venue follows the company’s first project in this category — “DRUM TAO THEATER KYOTO”, which is slated to open in April 2026 near Kyoto Station — and aligns with the group’s broader strategy of extending beyond traditional development into creating spaces that deliver unique experiences.
According to data from Pia Research Institute, the live and entertainment market in Japan reached approximately JPY 710 billion in 2024, and continues to trend upward, underscoring demand for larger, purpose-built venues.
