Chuo-Nippon Land & Building Delivers Timber-and-Wood-Hybrid Office Building in Nishi-Shimbashi

Chuo-Nippon Land & Building Delivers Timber-and-Wood-Hybrid Office Building in Nishi-Shimbashi

Chuo-Nippon Land & Building Group has completed its first timber-and-wood-hybrid office building, “REVZO Shimbashi,” with completion on Feb. 28, 2026. The property marks the fifth project in the mid-sized office “REVZO” series. Certified timber harvested from the group’s owned forests in Kanagawa and Yamanashi prefectures (totaling approx. 103 hectares) was used for structural members. A key feature is the end-to-end management of the process—from sourcing forest resources to construction.

The building is a 10-story above-ground hybrid structure combining steel and timber, with a Gross Floor Area of approx. 795 tsubo (approx. 28,288 sq. ft.) and a typical floor plate of approx. 68 tsubo (approx. 2,420 sq. ft.). It is located a 2-minute walk from Uchisaiwaicho Station (Toei Mita Line) and a 5-minute walk from Shimbashi Station (JR and Tokyo Metro). For structural members, it adopts Takenaka Corporation’s fire-resistant timber technology “Moen Wood,” and it is the first project in Japan to introduce “KiPLUS DECK,” which combines CLT and a composite deck slab for the ceiling. Carbon storage attributable to the timber/wood components is estimated at approx. 79 t-CO2. The property has obtained BELS 4-star certification and a CASBEE Wellness Office Evaluation Certification S Rank.

Following the series’ fourth project in Kojimachi (completed in May 2025), this Shimbashi project is the fifth installment (see related article: “REVZO Kojimachi” Newly Completed, Chuo-Nippon Land & Building). While the Kojimachi project emphasized comfort features such as balconies and dedicated-terrace units, the Shimbashi project takes on timber/wood hybrid construction through a proprietary supply-chain model leveraging the company’s own forests. Across the series, the group aims to differentiate itself in the mid-sized office market.
