NTT Urban Development Completes First U.K. Residential Project With Co-Living Property “The Rex” in London

NTT Urban Development, through its U.K. subsidiary NTT UD Europe Ltd., has completed “The Rex,” a co-living rental property in Kingston, southwest London, in partnership with Amro Real Estate Partners. This marks the company’s first residential development project in the U.K.

The building is a nine-story reinforced-concrete structure with a Gross Floor Area of approximately 7,866㎡ (approx. 84,670 sq. ft.). In addition to furnished studio units, the property offers extensive shared amenities characteristic of co-living communities, including lounges, communal kitchens, a game room and coworking space. The layout is designed to foster interaction among residents and support community-building.

On the sustainability front, the project received a design-stage “Outstanding” rating under BREEAM, the highest classification under the U.K.’s leading environmental assessment standard. If the same rating is confirmed in the post-completion assessment, it is expected to be the first co-living property in the U.K. to achieve this distinction. The project also earned a “B” EPC rating, the highest Fitwel certification for health performance, and a Platinum WiredScore for digital connectivity.
