Mitsui Fudosan Residential and Hilton to Launch Waldorf Astoria Residences Tokyo Nihonbashi

Mitsui Fudosan Residential and Hilton have announced plans to introduce the Waldorf Astoria Residences Tokyo Nihonbashi as part of the Nihonbashi 1-Chome Central District Type-1 Urban Redevelopment Project. The branded residences will mark the first Waldorf Astoria–branded residential property in the Asia-Pacific region.

The project’s main tower will house the Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi hotel (197 guestrooms), slated to open on floors 39–47, with integration of hotel services for residents. The residential component will occupy the upper floors, spanning levels 48–51, with a total of 71 units. Units will range from approx. 18 to 130 tsubo (approx. 640–4,600 sq. ft.), with a gross floor area of approx. 4,478 tsubo (approx. 159,000 sq. ft.). Move-in is scheduled to begin in fall 2027.

The larger redevelopment totals approx. 111,541 tsubo (approx. 3.94 million sq. ft.) of gross floor area, encompassing offices, retail, hotel, and residential uses. Overall project completion is targeted for September 2026.
