Mizuho Leasing Joins Melbourne Docklands’ “District Living” BTR Development with Marubeni, Haseko, and AsheMorgan
Mizuho Leasing announced that it will participate, alongside Marubeni Corporation, Haseko Corporation, and local asset manager AsheMorgan, in the large-scale Build-to-Rent (BTR) project “District Living” in Melbourne’s Docklands precinct.
Construction of the main building commenced in October, with completion and leasing scheduled for September 2027.
The first phase of the project will deliver a 24-story residential tower comprising 626 units and 456 square meters (approx. 4,900 sq. ft.) of retail space on a 4,240-square-meter (approx. 45,600 sq. ft.) site. Including the future Phase 2, the development will total 925 units, making it one of Australia’s largest BTR projects.
The property will connect directly to a major mixed-use commercial complex, and the residences will be designed to enhance energy efficiency and achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
