Minoh City Rental Lab & Office Project Breaks Ground by Tokyo Tatemono
Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. commenced construction on February 7, 2026 for a rental lab and office building in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture. This marks the company’s first development targeting life science startups and other tenants in the lab sector. The project site is approximately an 8-minute walk from the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line’s “Minoh Senba Handai-Mae” Station, offering strong access within the greater Osaka area.
The planned structure will rise as a 13-story steel frame building with a gross floor area of roughly 4,464 tsubo (approx. 158,800 sq. ft.), featuring flexible leasable spaces ranging from about 20 tsubo to 240 tsubo. The building is being designed to support BSL-2 (Biosafety Level 2) requirements, catering to lab users alongside office functions, and is slated for late December 2027 completion.
Amid growing domestic demand for leased lab space but limited supply, Tokyo Tatemono’s entry into the lab and office hybrid development sector represents a new strategic push in the Kansai region. The project site benefits from enhanced accessibility following the March 2024 extension of the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line, which has shortened travel time to Shin-Osaka to approximately 16 minutes. With proximity to Osaka University’s Minoh Campus, the developer has also secured land for a second phase, positioning the area as an emerging hub for industry-academia collaboration.
