Daiwa House Launches Large-Scale Mixed-Use Development “MAKINOHARA HILLS PROJECT” in Shizuoka

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. commenced the large-scale mixed-use development “MAKINOHARA HILLS PROJECT” in Higashi-Hagima, Makinohara City in December 2025. The project site is strategically located with direct access to road, air, and sea infrastructure — approximately 300 m from Tomei Expressway’s Sagara-Makinohara Interchange, about 8 km from Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, and roughly 20 km from Omaezaki Port.
The development is designed as a multimodal hub that integrates commercial facilities, a hotel, industrial logistics functions, and single-family housing. The first phase involves the construction of single-family homes, with subsequent phases including retail and industrial logistics facilities. Commercial facilities are scheduled to begin construction in Winter 2027, with industrial logistics facilities breaking ground in Spring 2028. The overall project is expected to be fully complete by Winter 2030.
