DHL Supply Chain Breaks Ground on Chitose Logistics Center for Semiconductor Industry

DHL Supply Chain Ltd. has commenced construction of the Chitose Logistics Center in Chitose City, Hokkaido, designed to serve the semiconductor-related sector. Completion is scheduled for late 2026.

The facility is located adjacent to a next-generation semiconductor hub, just off the New Chitose Airport interchange and about a six-minute drive from the airport. The multi-user facility will span approximately 4,400 tsubo (approx. 145,500 sq. ft.) of gross floor area, offering advanced logistics capabilities with flexible, high-performance operations. Sustainable features will include renewable energy utilization, rainwater recycling, and motion-sensor LED lighting.

Aligned with Japan’s national initiative to strengthen the semiconductor industry and support regional economic growth, the project aims to enhance supply chain resilience and flexibility from a logistics perspective.
