Asahi Logistics to Relocate Headquarters to LA Tower in Saitama New City
Asahi Logistics Co., Ltd. will relocate its headquarters on March 2, 2026, to the Meiji Yasuda Life Saitama New City Building (commonly known as LA Tower) in Chuo Ward, Saitama City. Group companies Asahi Fresh Logi and Smile Service. will also move their headquarters to the same location.
Founded in Saitama Prefecture in 1945, Asahi Logistics has built its business around food-focused logistics services. The company has steadily expanded its delivery network from the Kanto region across eastern Japan and has grown into a seven-company group.
LA Tower, the new headquarters location, is a large-scale office building completed in 2002 with 35 above-ground floors and a Gross Floor Area of approximately 24,824 tsubo (approx. 2,669,000 sq. ft.). The property is located about a one-minute walk from the west exit of Saitama-Shintoshin Station. Asahi Logistics will occupy two floors—the 21st and 19th floors—expanding its office space to roughly 1.3 times its current size and creating a work environment capable of accommodating 150 employees on a full-time basis. With business expansion, the previous headquarters had faced constraints in office capacity and limitations in facilitating group-wide collaboration, prompting the relocation decision.
In Japan’s logistics industry, the so-called “2024 issue”—stemming from new caps on drivers’ overtime hours—has accelerated efforts to establish relay hubs and optimize logistics networks. Asahi Logistics positions its focus on strengthening on-site support functions as part of a broader reassessment of headquarters functions in response to these structural industry changes. Saitama New City serves as a key transportation hub connecting the Tohoku, Kanto, and Chubu regions, making it a strategically rational headquarters location for a company operating a wide-area distribution network.
