712-Unit Supertall Tower Condominium Completed in Front of Juso Station, Hankyu Hanshin Properties

The supertall tower residence Geo Tower Osaka Juso, which Hankyu Hanshin Properties had been developing, was completed in January 2026. The project was carried out as part of the City of Osaka’s redevelopment initiative for the former Yodogawa Ward Office site and surrounding land, with collaboration among the public sector, private sector and academia. The property is located a three-minute walk from Hankyu Railway’s Juso Station.

The building is a 39-story above-ground, one-story below-ground reinforced concrete structure with partial steel framing, with a Gross Floor Area of approximately 25,550 tsubo (approx. 844,960 sq. ft.). Floors 3 through 39 are residential, while the lower floors house commercial and public-use facilities under the name JUSO CROSS. On the first floor, Daiei will operate the supermarket Food Style, scheduled to open in late May. On the second floor, Osaka Municipal Yodogawa Library and a library operated by educational institution RISEISHA are scheduled to open on April 17, along with the childcare and after-school facility STELLA, scheduled to open on May 1. In front of the first floor, a publicly accessible open space of approximately 726 tsubo (approx. 24,000 sq. ft.) has been developed for use as a community gathering space.

Large-scale transportation infrastructure improvements are planned around Juso Station. The Hankyu Naniwasuji Link Line between Juso and Osaka (Umekita), spanning about 2.5 kilometers, and the Hankyu Shin-Osaka Link Line between Juso and Shin-Osaka, spanning about 2.1 kilometers, are both moving forward and will connect to the Naniwasuji Line, which is scheduled to open in 2031. If realized, Juso Station will become a major regional transportation hub directly linking Shin-Osaka, Umeda and Kansai International Airport. Osaka Prefecture and the City of Osaka position the Juso-Awaji area as a “sub-core around Shin-Osaka Station” and are considering redevelopment at four sites around the station.
